His love for EMD music began in 1978. As a huge fan of artists like Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, and Kraftwerk, he spent countless hours listening to and playing their LPs over and over again.
In the 1980s, he frequently visited numerous clubs and discotheques and in the years that followed he also discovered the various genres of house music.
Numerous playlists followed, which he used for his other great passion: teaching spinning classes at several fitness centers.
On a whim, he bought a used DJ set in early 2023 and started experimenting with it. He was immediately hooked, recorded several sets that he published on Mixcloud, and met Ludan (LudOne) through one of the NTL editions at Club Merlijn in Hengelo. Since the summer of this year (2025) his passion has grown further by taking lessons at the professional DJ school DJ2Be in The Hague and through inspirational sessions with Peter Helder / DJ PeteHero.
This led to an invitation from Ludan to perform publicly for the first time on December 13, 2025. “I’m really looking forward to it and I’m going to make something beautiful of it,” says Wijnand.
